Martial Arts in Leesburg, VA
There is no Apex academy in Leesburg. Our Ashburn academy is about 15 to 20 minutes east on Route 7, and a lot of our members make that drive because the coaching is worth it.
Apex Jiu Jitsu & MMA does not have a gym in Leesburg. The closest academy is our Ashburn location at 44921 George Washington Blvd #140, about 12 miles east via Route 7 or the Dulles Greenway. It runs No-Gi Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, four wrestling tracks (from age 4), boxing, Muay Thai, MMA, and judo for kids, teens, and adults. Your first class is free.
Leesburg families have a few martial arts options in town, most of them single-style studios. What we hear from the members who drive in from Leesburg, Lansdowne, and the Route 7 corridor is that they wanted one place where a kid could do wrestling and jiu-jitsu, a parent could box or train Muay Thai, and the coaching was competition-proven at every one of those disciplines. That is what the Ashburn academy is built for, and it is why the drive is worth it to them.
The trip is simpler than it sounds. From downtown Leesburg or the Leesburg Premium Outlets, Route 7 east runs straight past Lansdowne to the Ashburn exits in about 15 minutes outside of rush hour; the Dulles Greenway is faster in the evening if you don't mind the toll. Evening classes start at 5:00 PM for kids and run past 8:00 PM for adults, so a 5:00 or 6:00 PM class is realistic after school or work without turning the whole evening into a commute.
