90 classes a week across BJJ, wrestling, boxing, Muay Thai, MMA, and judo
Confident kids, fitter adults. Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (gi & No-Gi), wrestling, boxing, Muay Thai, MMA, and judo, taught by coaches who compete at the highest level. Sterling and Ashburn are about 15 minutes apart, with one coaching standard and two schedules to choose from.
Every program is built for a specific age and a specific starting point. Tell us who it’s for and we’ll route you to the right first class at the academy that fits your week.
Worried about safety, focus, or whether they’ll like it? Classes are grouped by age, so a 4-year-old, a 10-year-old, and a 16-year-old each land in a room built for them. Coaches teach falling and control before anything else, and beginners are never thrown in with the advanced group. Tell us their age and we route them to the right first class.
Out of shape, never done this, over 40? That describes most of our adult beginners. Technique first, sparring always optional, fitness arrives on its own. Pick the art that interests you and we’ll start you in the right room.
Train one, or cross-train across them. Programs and age groups vary by academy, and the booking guide routes you to the right first class.
The standard is the same at both academies: world-ranked competitors and career coaches running age-grouped classes with real progressions. A few of the people you’ll train under:
IBJJF #1-ranked No-Gi competitor with 10+ international titles, and a 2015 striking world champion with 26 years of boxing.
Multi-time IBJJF world champion and 2019 ADCC veteran with twenty years on the mats.
2008 NCAA Division II national champion who has coached 20+ Virginia state champions.
Former Army Special Forces Green Beret and three-time Bronze Star recipient, named a Virginia National Team coach three years running.
Our gi program is led by a world champion, and every kids program is run by coaches who specialize in kids. Meet the full team →
Same standard, two schedules. Most members pick by drive time and class time; plenty train at both.

No. Training is how you get in shape. Every adult class has beginners, sparring is always optional, and the first month is technique with a gentle cardio load. Show up, and the fitness follows.
Kids classes are grouped by age and led by coaches who teach falling and body control before anything else. Beginners are never put into live matches. Injury rates in a well-run kids class are lower than recreational team sports.
The one with the schedule that fits your week. Both academies train to the same coaching standard, run kids, teens, and adult programs, and are about 15 minutes apart. Pick a time you can actually make.
The right membership depends on who is training and how often, so the exact rate is quoted at your free first class. There is no cost, card, or commitment for the trial.
A fitted t-shirt or rash guard and athletic shorts without pockets or zippers. Bring water. No uniform is needed for a trial in any program.
Yes. Kids, teens, and adults each get a free first class at either academy. Book a time, arrive ten minutes early, and a coach will walk you through it.
Pick your academy, pick a time, and train with coaches who have won at the highest level. No card, no commitment.
